Helen Keller provided us with a simple yet profound metaphor when she said, "The only way to get to the other side is to go through the door." Meaningful funerals are doorways to healing for the bereaved.

In March 2004, I was lucky enough to secure a limited spot on the first ever 'Funeral Course' offered to professional celebrants. This course provided an excellent insight into the funeral industry, the workings behind the funeral industry and the professionals that work within it.

Since that date I have delivered 100 funerals for families on the Gold and Tweed Coasts.
