The 5th May 2006 was our 10th wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate this special anniversary and booked a five day retreat at Maleny - without our girls - thanks Mum & Dad.
Together, my hubby and I created our Vow Renewal ceremony. We also wrote our own vows, and kept them secret from each other.
So at 2.30pm at the House of Laurels, I walked into our ceremony listening to our dear friend Lesley Hogan (beautiful person and singer) singing "Songbird", by Eva Cassidy.
Lesley and her husband Kieran, were the only guests at our romantic ceremony and Lesley performed our ceremony beautifully.
Exchanging our secret vows was the most emotional time in my life so far. It was so romantic and meaningful - the true fairytale that every girl dreams of.
After our ceremony we enjoyed an Al-a-carte meal in our beautiful cottage, with a bottle of Moet and a warm fire burning.
It was so wonderful to take the time out of our busy lives to celebrate this moment. I encourage more couples to do this.
